Located in the neighbourhood of El Viso in Chamartín, this new art and design gallery offers a carefully curated selection of furniture and decorative objects from the 1940s to the 1980s. Inside, they combine antiques, vintage furniture, contemporary art and unique pieces to draw design, art and antique lovers.
The store, founded by businesswoman Amalia Tormo, is spread over two floors and showcases exceptional pieces from around the world such as tables, armchairs, sideboards and lamps, as well as collectible items from countries like France, Italy, Denmark and the Netherlands.
As for art, Viridian focuses on emerging artists, although there are also pieces by established contemporary artists in the disciplines of painting, sculpture and particularly ceramics. The prominent names in their catalogue include designers such as Eero Aarnio, Carlo di Carli and Monica Bratt, along with artists like Alberto Guerrero, María Álvarez, Almudena Casas, Cova Osset, Raúl Fernández and Leticia Aboin Le Chevrel.
The gallery also features iconic pieces such as the 'Flamingo' sideboard by Eero Aarnio, a truly gorgeous design piece.
In addition to selling furniture and art, Viridian offers exclusive services such as painting and furniture restoration in collaboration with renowned experts, as well as custom furniture design and production, working with a select team of artisans, carpenters, blacksmiths and upholsterers.
Their cultural proposal also encompasses talks by artists, book launches and workshops related to art, furniture and design.
