Vallecas Stadium

This football stadium is home to Rayo Vallecano. Located in the southeastern Madrid Puente de Vallecas district, you can find it between Calle del Payaso Fofó, Calle del Arroyo del Olivar and Avenida de la Albufera.

The Rayo Vallecano team started out in 1924 and their current stadium was built on top of the 1973 football ground. Since its latest renovations carried out in line with UEFA guidelines, it now has a capacity of 14,700 spectators.

Besides being the stage for the football team’s epic history, the stadium has also witnessed huge concerts from the likes of Bob Dylan in 1980, Metallica in 1992 and Queen in 1986. Barricada, Miguel Ríos and Luz Casal are amongst the Spanish artists that have performed in this arena.

It's also the finishing line for the traditional San Silvestre Vallecana race, which is held in the city every year on 31 December.
