Next to the Carrera de San Francisco and the Plaza de los Carros you will find this typical 17th century Madrid mansion with a simple and strict facade and richly decorated interior.
This mansion maintains the original 17th century both exterior and interior partition with some remodeling done by the Duke of Infantado when he bought it in the late 18th century. It is situated at a C-shaped lot with two stories with inner corridors, basement and an attic. It features an off-center facade. The main door has a crest of the noble Mendoza de la Vega family - Duke of Infantado’s ancestors - situated over the central balcony’s lintel. It leads into a hallway where you can see a Renaissance door taken from the Calahorra castle in Granada.
