The current headquarters of The Jewish Community of Madrid, founded in 1917, are located in this community centre in the district of Chamberí, which is also home to the Beth Yaacov synagogue, along with a large library containing 6000 titles in different areas of Judaism, and a visitor centre where this small museum is located.
Its permanent exhibition invites the visitor on a journey through the contemporary history of Jewish life in Madrid, from its beginnings to the present day, through photographs, graphic elements, and ritual objects.
