Designed by Rafael de la Hoz Castanys, the main headquarters of the Endesa electric and gas company was the first building to receive triple environmental protection certification in Spain for energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality and environmental management.
Designed in 1999, the building would not be completed until 2003. Its façade is a curtain wall made of glass and metal, which provides a backdrop to the Campo de las Naciones office complex, where other unique buildings in the city are located, such as the Madrid Chamber of Commerce -by the same architect- and the Municipal Congress Palace, by Ricardo Bofill, inaugurated in 1993.
