Cerro de Valdemartín

This peak, located between the municipal districts of Manzanares el Real and Rascafría, is the second highest in the Cuerda Larga chain of mountains. It is located on the border between Manzanares el Real and Rascafría, two areas in the north west of greater Madrid.

Standing 2,282 metres high with impressive views, in the south west area, very close to the summit, you will find the Ventisquero de la Condesa, where several natural sources are born that form the headwaters of the River Manzanares.

To reach the summit, you can take an easy route along a comfortable path that starts from the car park of the Valdesquí ski resort. You then head south east, which takes you up around the edges of the ski slopes, and after 3 km, you reach the summit.
