Opened in September 2011, this cultural centre in Pozuelo de Alarcón brings a new identity to the town’s historic centre, while expanding the spaces available for culture. Located in the centre of the Plaza de Padre Vallet, just where the old Town Hall used to be, it is an avant-garde building created by the Dutch-Hispanic architecture studio Fündc.
The property combines respect for the identity of Pozuelo and a commitment to the future. Comprising two fully integrated buildings, the part of the façade facing north of the square is an exact replica of the old town hall building. A large part of this façade is occupied by two exhibition rooms covering an area of around 140 m² on the ground floor plus around 80 m² on the upper floor.
The southern part is the more modern and avant-garde area. In it there is an overhanging Auditorium that can seat around 60 people, which is set up for small-scale performances, conferences, presentations, etc. A double height multi-purpose room completes the centre’s cultural facilities.
