Information

This mountain in the Guadarrama Sierra is 2,257 metres high, with a prominence of 103 metres, and it is the most western of the Cuerda Larga mountain range.

At the summit of La Bola del Mundo, there are various antennae, which were initially intended for the emission of radio and television signals to two plateaus. In 2010, the Spanish Government decided to close the powerful television repeater station in Navacerrada but installed small repeaters in the vast Castile plateau. For years, the ascent to the summit has been one of the toughest stages of the Cycling Tour of Spain.
