The French label Veja, which offers a different approach to the manufacture of trainers, has a store on Madrid’s Calle Barquillo street in the Barrio de Justicia neighbourhood, where you can find the latest collections of trainers for women, men and children.
After opening stores in Paris, New York and Berlin, Veja has set up shop in our city, retaining the existing features of the building and only adding when necessary. The space has been designed in a minimalist and contemporary way, with a mixture of wood, brick and concrete. The design team bought furniture from local antique dealers to give the store a vintage feel. In addition, custom-made neon signs by Brazilian artist Kleber Matheus have been added to bring a touch of modern art.
Located on the first floor of the building, the shop covers an area of 190 square metres and is characterised by its large windows and its typical Spanish courtyard aesthetic.
It has also created a space to organise events bringing together projects and inspirational people.
As part of the shoe repair initiative that Veja started in 2020 in Bordeaux, this store also has a shoe mending service that can repair and clean shoes regardless of the brand.
