El Moderno - Concept Store

Located in a spacious establishment in Malasaña, this eclectic store offers a wide variety of articles, from  decorative items to furniture, works of art,  jewellery, stationery, children’s books, toys, gifts or souvenirs, among others, all of which are handmade.

This concept store focuses mainly on decoration and small furniture, unlike the surrounding shops, which focus more on fashion and accessories. Many of its products have been designed  and created by new brands and young designers, local artists from Malasaña, and it has a selection of articles from different European countries.  

On the spacious upper floor, you will find an array of unique, high-quality items, ranging from stylish fashion accessories to charming home décor pieces, as well as a variety of stationery products and decorative prints. Each item has been carefully chosen for its originality and design.

Both floors have been renovated to highlight the original materials of the building, such as brick, stone and wood, maintaining the historical charm of the place. The lower floor, which used to be a coal bunker, features vaulted ceilings and arches that retain its unique character.
