MicroFusa was born in 1987 as a "sound laboratory", an experimental space for sound and music, created by two inquiring musicians. In 1989 MicroFusa redefined itself and became a school of independent sound: the educational content was increased, encompassing all kinds of training on sound and musical technology.

In 1991 MicroFusa opened its first store in Barcelona with the aim of catering to its students' needs and satisfying the growing demand for music technology products. This Madrid store was opened in 2006. Celebrity clients include Niña Pastori, Ojos de Brujo, Chambao, Dover and Nawja Nimri.
