Mercado de Guzmán el Bueno

Opened in 1951, this municipal market has several traditional stalls selling fresh food (fishmongers, greengrocers and vegetables, butchers, deli...) as well as a supermarket. It also has several restaurants.

In 2005, the market was fully renovated to improve the lighting and eliminate architectural barriers to facilitate universal access, through the addition of two elevators. The ground floor is occupied by traditional market stalls, with a supermarket on the top floor. Almost all stores have a telephone ordering service and free home delivery.

In addition to the usual stalls selling fresh produce, the market has the only Japanese bakery in the neighbourhood, which also has an exhibition of Japanese crafts by different artists.

As well as selling produce, the market can accommodate performances and tastings, gastronomic tours and school visits.
