Plaza de San Cayetano, just a stone’s throw from Calle Francisco Silvela, is home to this municipal food market, which takes its name from the surrounding neighbourhood. Here you’ll find a wide range of stalls offering top-quality fresh produce at very reasonable prices.
Having been renovated some years ago, the market now combines its traditional food offering with a range of unique and distinctive ventures, from a wool shop to a chocoteca, a herbalist and a stall selling sushi fused with Peruvian cuisine.
Around the outside of the building there are additional shops selling clothes and accessories, places where you can get shoes mended or keys cut, as well as a café.
