Having started out as a family business in Colmenar Viejo, the success of its sweets and desserts, especially the mini croissants known as 'manolitos', led to the establishment of this café-bakery, located in the area of Salesas and Chueca, in the Plaza de Santa Bárbara. Here you can enjoy these little sweet or savoury croissants as well as other typical homemade pastries, such as 'lazos' (pastry twists), 'bayonesas' (puff pastry with angel hair), 'palmeras' (palmiers) and 'napolitanas' (pain au chocolat).
The café has a large counter and several tables, as well as an outdoor terrace. Their delicious 'manolitos' are made on site every day, characterised by their special dough, proving and baking process. They also offer a wide variety of homemade ice creams (with options for vegans, coeliacs and lactose-intolerants) and cakes, in addition to a take away service.
Manolo Bakes has another branch at No. 68, Calle Conde de Peñalver.
