Librería de Mujeres

Anthropology, self-esteem, art, mythology, history, education, biography, lesbianism, world cultures... Since they opened in 1978, and thanks to the effort of the 200 members of this cooperative, this store has been offering all possible genres written exclusively by women, although not necessarily for them.

La Librería de Mujeres also has its own publishing house, “Horas y horas”, which up until now has been devoted to publishing literature by women from other cultures, and works about feminist theory. Furthermore, they complete their feminist universe with an interesting assortment of gifts: images of the great female thinkers and writers of all times, other items like boxes, cigarette cases, hand mirrors, magazine racks, coasters, dolls and puppets created using wood and metal.
