Founded by Teodoro Enguita in 1894, next to Casa de la Panadería in Plaza Mayor, this shop has always specialised in the sale of hats, berets and caps. Its designs earned a reputation that is maintained today. Its most famous clients include artists like Joaquín Sabina, Paco Rabal or the writer, Arturo Pérez Reverte. Che Guevara himself bought his famous beret there, which he went on to personalise.
The shop is still run by the founder’s family. The establishment maintains the same appearance as in its origins, with the same counters and cash registers.
It no longer makes customised hats, but has many sizes and models, as well as caps, berets and wine skins.
