Following the closure of what was IKEA’s first store in central Madrid, on Calle Serrano, the Nordic home furnishings brand now operates in this location, also in the Barrio de Salamanca neighbourhood. The store specialises in living room and dining room planning and advice, and offers a selected range of items available to purchase directly on site.
Ikea Goya is laid out across three floors. On the ground floor (Level 0), you will find the main bedroom ranges, from bed linen and mattresses to storage and organisation solutions. Two projectors have also been installed to inspire visitors with fresh ideas and practical solutions. This level is home to the checkout area, which strongly embraces a self-service model, with eight self-
checkout stations to make payment quicker and easier.
Level -1 houses the Planning Area, with customer service points distributed throughout the different inspirational spaces. All planning processes are fully digitalised. This floor also features a Home Furnishing Service corner, where customers can explore the full range of IKEA finishes and materials.
Finally, on Level 1, you will find the restaurant, designed with a distinctly Nordic feel, offering both high and low seating, along with the Swedish Shop, which stocks a selection of food products.
The store also offers a Click & Collect pick-up point at 28 Calle Núñez de Balboa, just around the corner.
Among the exclusive services available at this store are home delivery by bicycle, in collaboration with the Cleta initiative, as well as the delivery of dishes from the restaurant and products from the Swedish Food Shop.
