Desperate Literature

After closing their previous premises near Ópera and Callao, this bookstore specialising in buying and selling international literature is moving to the Barrio de La Latina neighbourhood, very close to the Plaza Mayor. The store has a large collection of second-hand titles in English, as well as a wide variety of volumes in multiple languages.

Although most of their books are fiction, poetry, crime novels and science fiction you can also find history books, books on philosophy, art, science, sociology, film, music and Eastern religions. They also have a section of children’s books and books for young adults.

Wanting to promote culture, they organize exhibitions, lectures, meeting and all kinds of cultural events.
