Located in a central neighbourhood in Madrid and opened in 1875, the Mercado de la Cebada market hall covers a large area with many stalls whose kind vendors offer a wide range of top-quality products.
The current market (built in 1958 and refurbished in 2013) has two floors with a surface area of more than 6,000 square metres for commercial use, which houses around 80 stalls, offering food (meat, cold meats, fruit, fish, chicken) but also cosmetics, flowers, eyeglasses, upholstery… In sum, everything you may need… There’s a third floor for storage and a car park too.
In addition to its commercial offer, it has a children’s area, Cebada Kids, where activities related to healthy eating and fresh and seasonal products, the functioning of the market, etc. are organised every weekend for children between the ages of 4 and 11. It also has a fun space with themed Playmobil exhibitions.
