Los Artistas del Barrio

Los Artistas del Barrio collective has this retail store located between the neighborhoods of Lavapiés y La Latina where you can buy all kinds of creations ranging from paintings, sculptures and jewelery to T-shirts, books, lamps and wooden and sensory toys (Waldorf, Montessori), among others.

Los Artistas del Barrio (their name means ‘Neighborhood Artists’) project aims to go beyond the  frontiers of the institutionalized art, closed up in museums and art galleries, and to return it to its original source - the artists’ homes and their workshops, allowing the spectator to get to know the piece from its start and to be able to have a dialog with its creator.

The store stocks some original works, as well as prints, postcards, T-shirts, bags, notebooks, books, jewellery and costume jewellery made by local artists
