The lingerie firm founded by Barcelona's Andrés Sardá has been creating women's underwear since 1962, designed for a successful liberated woman. After the designer’s death in 2019, his daughter Nuria Sardá took over the firm and remains true to the legacy created by her father. The label opened a store in the heart of Madrid's Salamanca neighbourhood in 2003.
The Sardá family launched its textile business when the company in which they manufactured high-quality lace mantillas, worn by celebrities such as Jackie Kennedy, closed down. When mantillas started to decline in popularity, the Sardá family began to use lace in other areas of fashion and, in 1962, Andrés Sardá ventured into the world of lingerie.
Sardá’s designs revolutionised the world of lingerie by presenting flattering products for women, using technical innovation to achieve great comfort. In 1970, he presented his first swimwear collection, experimenting with innovative fabrics such as lycra.
International artists such as Lady Gaga and Shakira have been seen wearing this brand.
