Founded in 1964, this family-run Cuban restaurant in Chueca has become a staple in Madrid. Although their first place on Calle Infantas began as a café / fried food restaurant, in 2014 they moved to their current premises and set up as a more traditional restaurant serving cuisine that combines Cuban tradition with new trends to achieve a fusion of Creole flavours.
The place is still decorated simply, as it always has been, with classic red check tablecloths, and customers here are treated more like family.
The menu includes classic Cuban dishes, such as ropa vieja (tender shredded beef and vegetables), picadillo made with minced pork and beef, fried yucca... with a Spanish twist. They also serve a wide variety of daiquiris.
