Love for Japanese food and culture is the raison d’être of this restaurant located at the Plaza de Cascorro, the focal point of Rastro, the famous Sunday morning street-market in the center of Madrid. Apart from the restaurant, it has a book-store and they sell Japanese foodstuff.
The menu includes gluten-free and vegetarian sushi (made at the spot), vegan ramen, udon, yakisoba with vegetables, gyozas, yakitori, edamame, takoyaki and many more. They have various lunch menus: a vegan ramen menu, a meat ramen menu, a meat udon menu, a chirashi menu and a sushi menu. On weekends you can enjoy special sushi menus.
Their bookstore holds books by different Japanese classical authors like Junichiro Tanizaki, Soseki, Kenzaburo Oe, Mishima, Kawabata, Akutagawa, Dazai, and the modern ones like Banana Yoshimoto, Yasutaka Tsutsui, Yoko Ogawa, Haruki and Ryu Murakami. You can also find Japanese manga.
