The first restaurant in Madrid that fuses Mexican and Asturian cuisines is located in the Barrio de Salamanca, very close to Paseo de la Castellana. In this sophisticated yet inviting space, you can enjoy an original and innovative menu full of flavour and colour.
Asturian and Mexican fusion is also present in the decoration of La Xida. The main dining area, with an open kitchen, has touches reminiscent of Mexico, such as cacti or lamps that evoke the beach umbrellas of the Riviera Maya. In turn, Asturian decoration permeates the bar area with a mixture of wood and bottle green tones, reminiscent of an Asturian cider house where you can enjoy delicious tapas and drinks to musical accompaniment.
The menu consists of classic dishes from each country, such as Asturian chorizo cooked in cider or “my mum’s” guacamole, but also dishes that are the mixture of the two, such as red mole with pitu caleya stew or “El Xidu” cachopo pie.
