This authentic sake bar, which is the first to be opened in Madrid and in Spain, is located between Chueca and Salesas, where you can have a genuine Japanese experience thanks to the more than 60 varieties of sake (known as rice wine) which are served and prepared in the most prestigious wineries of Japan, such as Kubota, Yaekagi, Ozeki or Nanbubijin.
The establishment is decorated in a minimalist style with numerous bottles of sake and traditional barrels, creating a traditional yet contemporary atmosphere. It has a sushi bar at the entrance for lunchtime and dinners.
On the menu here, as well as more than 80 types of sake, you can find Japanese tapas. You can also sample several cocktails.
Shuwa Shuwa also runs sake tasting workshops as well as training sessions for professional Kikisake-shi sommeliers, thanks to TOKYO-YA and the SSI (Sake Service Institute), entirely in Spanish.
Shuwa Shuwa is part of the TOKYO-YA chain of Japanese stores, pioneers in bringing Japanese cuisine to Spain since 1981 with the opening of its first store in Madrid.
