Near Calle de Alcalá and El Retiro Park, this restaurant devoted to game and local ingredients, with seasonal cuisine rooted in Castilian tradition, offers diners tapas and dishes that combine tradition with innovation. It was awarded a Michelin star in the 2024 edition of the prestigious guide.
The establishment is divided into two floors. On the upper level is the Barra de Santerra, an informal space where you can enjoy the classic dishes served in a typical Madrid bar, with the characteristic Santerra touch of Miguel Carretero, which has two spaces, one with low tables to enjoy a quieter atmosphere, and a classic bar space with high tables.
The ground floor holds the restaurant, which combines the classic with the modern and features a set lunch menu based on seasonal cuisine as well as more elaborate dishes for dinner.
They have several private areas that can seat from 6 to 10 people and a special corner, the wine cellar table, available for a maximum of 4 people.
I In addition to the menu, there are two tasting menus: Monte Bajo, with 10 courses, and Veda Abierta, with 14 courses, in which the chef Miguel Carretero presents his most personal proposal, featuring the mountain and its products. The experience is completed with a wine list featuring more than 350 wines and craft drinks made in the restaurant.
