Its name already defines the absolute star of its cuisine: the tasty, traditional and incomparable Spanish potato omelette, which is still prepared in this establishment in the same way that made it famous at La Ancha on calle Velázquez in the 60’s. For its good value for money, it has been named a Bib Gourmand restaurant by the Michelin Guide.
In fact, in the menu it appears under the name Velazqueña, although it is accompanied by seven other varieties: with Torta del Casar cheese, with roast chicken gravy and super confit peppers, with prawns and spicy tomato sauce, stewed with tripe, truffled, with tender slices of octopus, and with potato chips and salmorejo.
But as well as omelettes, the menu also includes all kinds of starters, salads and vegetables – like warm foie gras bonbons, Iberian ham croquettes, and crispy octopus. For those with a sweet tooth, there’s nothing better than rounding off your meal with the brie cheese flan or the delicate apple tarte.
It has seasonal menus for groups.
