This restaurant, currently located where once a ham factory stood, is renowned for preparing excellent cuisine from Extremadura. Most specifically their specialities come from the Vera area, located in the region of Cáceres, with shepherd dishes like migas (breadcrumbs fried with garlic and chorizo sausage), goat stew, friti extremeño (stew), ham from acorn-fed pigs or a selection of cheeses, not to mention popular desserts like huesecillos (marzipan) or rosquillas (ring-shaped fried pastry). All dishes are prepared using products from Cáceres and served as tapas or as part of a set menu, as the customer chooses. If you want to tuck in to an excellent meal, make your way over to Calle Atocha, in the centre of Madrid.
