Next to the Plaza de Ópera, you can enjoy authentic Peruvian cuisine thanks to this restaurant whose name refers to the official language of the Inca Empire, in the Andes mountain range, which symbolises the tradition and cultural heritage maintained over the centuries. And the menu strives to do just that, offering traditional and authentic dishes from Peru.
Chef Luis A. Barrios is in charge of bringing Peruvian cuisine to Madrid, with dishes such as octopus and olive tiraditos, causa limeña layered potato cake with tuna, chupe de camarones - a shrimp soup typical of southern Peru - and escolar fish with chalaquita salsa. In addition to its a la carte menu, it has a fixed lunch menu from Tuesday to Friday and a tasting menu.
Kechua has another branch in Madrid in the area of Arturo Soria, No. 9 Calle Goitia.
