Hidden away in the Plazuela de Santiago, just a short distance from the Royal Palace and the Plaza Mayor, La Gastroteca de Santiago is a small but cosy establishment in which the chef, Juan Carlos offers the possibility of savouring recipes that are disappearing from the Spanish culinary imagination, adding new flavours and modern techniques.
The restaurant, which has a large window and a kitchen on view from where the preparation of the dishes can be discovered, also has a terrace in which one of the quietest corners in the heart of Madrid can be enjoyed, whilst savouring traditional Spanish dishes.
The menu offers seasonal cuisine with extremely creative touches. The wide selection of wines, with almost 400 references, is specialised in burgundies, champagnes and Italian wines.
