Since the beginning of 2020, this bar in Chamberí has been offering the best traditional homemade Galician cuisine. It was launched by its chef, Antonio Couceiro, who has an extensive professional career in restaurants such as El Refugio de Oleiros in A Coruña and La Penela in Madrid, and is now offering diners another option to enjoy Galician cuisine.
The bar is spread over two floors and emphasises authenticity, both in its simple décor and in its menu, which uses select ingredients and produce from Galicia to create specialties such as Betanzos-style omelettes, Galician empanada pies, and creamy cheesecake, as well as seafood.
Garelos has another branch in the Food Hall of Galería Canalejas, at No. 42 Calle Alcalá, and No. 11 Calle de El Españoleto.
