Located on Plaza de Olavide, in the heart of Chamberí, this trend-setting seafood restaurant was founded by Curro and Kike Sánchez of Barbillón Family & Corp, who are mixing things up and having fun as they set out to make seafood (especially prawns) and seafood restaurants more accessible without compromising on quality or flavour.
The restaurant area itself is spacious (over 250 m2), and there’s also an outdoor terrace area. The interior is bold, vibrant and unpretentious, with a huge red bar in the centre, splicing traditional and contemporary style.
Gamberro pays tribute to the star of its menu: prawns. They have red prawns, white prawns, delicious prawns caught in Huelva... in almost all their possible forms… raw, boiled, grilled, fried, with garlic, battered, in a salad... The menu also features reinvented classic Spanish tapas, including patatas bravas, croquetas, gildas, marinated anchovies, seasonal tomatoes with pickled tuna, and seafood salads, as well as a wide selection of molletes (soft, white rolls).
There is another branch of Gamberro at No. 82 Calle de Goya, in the Barrio de Salamanca neighbourhood.
