A restaurant that has become a culinary benchmark in Japanese cuisine in the capital. Under a plain, wood-coffered ceiling, reminiscent of oriental pagodas, Yoshie Osanay is the chef at this temple of sushi.
Tempura is another of the specialities this restaurant is known for. Especially delicious is the crunchy tempura wrapped around the soft shell crab, one of the reasons to come here. As far as the sushi goes, note the cuts of bull dressed in soya and wasabi, or the assorted and flambéed moriawase. The hot tuna tartare is a delicacy and one of the best you'll find.
