El Mandil offers traditional cuisine with light creative touches and is right in the heart of Madrid, in the Malasaña district.
At the bar and high tables you can sample a wide range of exquisite pinchos (small brochettes) as a starter, washed down with a delicious long drink, lovingly prepared and of course sample the menu.
In the kitchen only the best market fresh fare is used. The dishes are traditionally Spanish with a light creative touch, including classics such as huevos rotos con jamón (scrambled eggs with Iberian ham), home-made croquettes, salmorejo cordobés (cold garlic and tomato soup) or the popular torreznos (bacon rashers). Worth highlighting are the grilled fruit and vegetables, the steak tartar and the T-bone steak of Bilbao beef, awarded the best meat prize at the Gastronomy contest in San Sebastián.
