This tavern is nearly 100 years old and offers traditional food in the multicultural Lavapiés area. The décor is that of typical traditional taverns: tiled walls, an aluminium bar, paintings on the walls and wooden tables where there is room for them. The food is traditional too, with an emphasis on inexpensive fresh fish and sea food: grilled prawns, white anchovy in vinegar, oysters, tomato salad with white anchovy, stewed hake, langoustines, barnacles, etc., accompanied by draught beer or vermouth. Good food with no frills.
