Centro Riojano is all about culture, tradition, history and, of course, gastronomy. Since 1901, Madrid has enjoyed its own little slice of La Rioja on Calle Serrano, in the Salamanca district. It is an elegant building, where lovers of the region can get together to help keep the customs of their land alive and promote them in our city. Besides the business aspect, Centro Riojano organises excursions, conferences and all kinds of events. It even publishes its own magazine. The restaurant serves up traditional regional dishes, including specialties such as vegetable stew, scrambled eggs and mushrooms, lamb cutlets grilled over dried vine shoots, and typical desserts like fardalejos (almond pastry cakes). And what better to wash it all down with than a fine glass of Rioja from their own cellar.
