A little tavern located on Cava Baja Street (in the Hapsburg Madrid area) specialized in creatively topped toast. You can have them while drinking some of the wines included in their short but select wine list or with a good 'caña', a glass of beer. Some of their most delicious pinchos are 'Madrid' (scrambled eggs with onion 'morcilla' blood pudding and sweet tomato), 'Cariñena' (grilled pork sirloin on onion confit) or 'Mancha' (warm 'pisto' (ratatouille-like dish) with fried quail egg and cured ham).
On the list of dishes to share-really original too- some of them stand out: chicken curry couscous with vegetables; tuna tataki with onion, soy and sweet apple purée, and black cannelloni stuffed with seafood and curried vegetables on a farmers' cheese sauce. You can't miss their creamy rice with boletus, foie and poached eggs. The restaurant isn't very big (around six tables), so reservations are recommended, especially at weekends. It is perfect to please last-minute guests. A classic place for tapas.
