Fidel is a good old home-made food eatery decorated accordingly. They offer a set menu at lunchtime, while dinner is à la carte, listing dishes such as baby squid in its own ink sauce, grilled hake, seasonal artichokes with ham or foie, grilled wild asparagus, veal hamburger, confit, grilled sirloin, shank in sauce, entrecôe, salade Olivier, croquettes, tuna belly with grilled peppers and home-made foie with home-made fig confit. The menu lists homely and fresh-market stews like lentils or ‘cocido’. Desserts are especially good, so try to leave a bit of room in your stomach to fit in a carrot or cheese cake or a vanilla ice-cream.
