In the heart of Madrid and close to the Teatro Real opera house, Plaza de Oriente and the Royal Palace, this restaurant has been specialising in Castilian cuisine since 1996 and is particularly known for its succulent meat dishes prepared in wood-fired ovens.
The place has three large rooms (Príncipe, Medieval and Real), private dining areas, a bar and a summer terrace, all decorated in traditional Castilian style, with exposed brick, stone and wood.
Roast dishes cooked in wood ovens –like suckling lamb–, coal grilled meat or the popular Segovia-style suckling pig are just a few suggestions. The establishment also has a magnificent winery, with an impeccable wine selection focusing on beverages from Ribera del Duero and La Rioja.
