On the lively Ponzano Street, this restaurant was established in 1952 by a couple from Segovia who brought to Madrid the most delicious dishes from home.
A brick façade and two arches mark the entrance to this lovely restaurant, where you can have great tapas and raciones (small plates) standing at the bar, or eat at a table in one of the three separate rooms decorated in rustic Castilian style.
The dishes are carefully prepared with excellent ingredients: Segovia-style roasted suckling pig or lamb, oxtail, squid in ink sauce, Bilbaína-style hake cheek and other specialties. Its most daring dishes obtain a perfect fusion between traditional flavours and the most modern and up-to-date cuisine.
