This restaurant, owned by Grupo La Fábrica, encapsulates the essence of a traditional Madrid tasca. Located in the neighbourhood of Lavapiés, here you will find traditional dishes given a modern twist and made using quality ingredients.
This restaurant recreates the atmosphere of a high-end grocery store, with a majestic bar made of chestnut wood and real marble. There is an open kitchen and at the back is the basement, where there is a vaulted room with brick walls, hanging lamps and a small cellar glimpsed behind a metal grille.
The menu, devised by TV chef Sergio Fernández, is composed of classic proposals that focus on quality. So you can enjoy traditional tapas known as Gildas with Santoña anchovies, spectacular torreznos (fried pork rinds), fried squid and the traditional Spanish potato omelette. They also have hearty dishes such as chickpeas with tripe, meatballs or the famous cocido madrileño stew.
