Spain is a secular state. Although most of the population is Catholic, there are a number of other important religious minorities (including Protestants, Muslims and Orthodox). Madrid´s airport has three Catholic chapels, two mosques and two prayer rooms / multi-faith rooms. Their opening days and times are available on this website.

The German Evangelical Church runs a Christmas market every year at No. 6 Paseo de la Castellana, very close to Plaza de Colón, in the Salamanca neighbourhood.

And Saint George’s Church brings British Christmas traditions to Madrid with a British Christmas market that runs every December on the corner of Núñez de Balboa and Hermosilla, also in the neighbourhood of Salamanca.
