Since October 2023, the Malaga-based restaurant group Trocadero has been the owner of the legendary Mayte Commodore restaurant, which opened in 1967 and was a landmark between 1970 and 1980 in Madrid. Today it is a space with two restaurants: the traditional Mediterranean restaurant, in the purest Trocadero style, and the Asian restaurant, open only in the summer months, where Thai and Japanese cuisine coexist.
Trocadero Commodore arrives in Madrid with the intention of offering a new gastronomic experience, while maintaining the essence of the Trocadero Group. Thus, the restaurant exudes the spirit of a beach bar, with a cheerful and casual character, friendly service and a gastronomic offer in which fish plays a prominent role.
Its menu follows the structure that has made the group famous, with an emphasis on fish, rice and meat dishes, as well as a "Japanese" section. In addition, new dishes will be added with nods to Madrid cuisine.
Trocadero is divided into two floors with multiple areas, including lounges, terraces on Serrano and Joaquín Costa streets, sofa areas with their own bar, and a varied offer to enjoy on the street level floor with a main bar and high table areas.
In terms of decoration, it is distinguished by international references. The use of noble materials such as wood, stone, brass and fabrics, together with careful landscaping and graphic work, ensures that the Trocadero hallmark is easily recognisable.
