Located in a central neighbourhood in Madrid and opened in 1875, the Mercado de la Cebada market hall covers a large area with many stalls whose kind vendors offer a wide range of top-quality products.
The current market (built in 1958 and refurbished in 2013) has two floors with a surface area of more than 6,000 square metres for commercial use, which houses around 80 stalls, offering food (meat, cold meats, fruit, fish, chicken) but also cosmetics, flowers, eyeglasses, upholstery… In sum, everything you may need…
Inside the market we can find the Cebada Space, 120 m2 fully fitted out with ventilation, air conditioning and cafeteria, where all kinds of events and shoots can be held.
MadridZebada, also known as "The wind market", takes place on the first Sunday of every month (except August), from 12pm to 5pm. This flea market offers a wide range of fashion, design, crafts, music, gifts, decoration, art, cosmetics, natural products and food (packaged), among other items. The times of this market can vary, so always check on the official website before heading down there.
There is a car park, and parking is free for the first hour when you spend at least €10 at the market and several of its stalls offer a home delivery service.
