Sojo Teatro

Located in the district of Arganzuela, very close to Puerta de Toledo, this cultural space is embarking on a new phase as a venue dedicated to contemporary performing arts and the promotion of emerging talent. Formerly known as SOJO Laboratorio Teatral, this new space has set out to become a meeting point between artists and the public, with a diverse programme that includes theatre, improvisation, live music and audiovisual projections promoting social themes and diverse perspectives.

The venue has two performance spaces:

1.-The Main Auditorium, located by the entrance, which can seat 50 people, allowing for greater closeness with the audience. This space is intended for performances of classic and contemporary texts, as well as for intimate productions that prioritise the power of performance and proximity to stage.

2.- Alternative / Stand Up Auditorium, located in the lower part of the venue, which can seat up to 40 people. This space is intended for more experimental performance proposals, live comedy, stand up, improvisation and hybrid formats that integrate different artistic disciplines.

In addition to its artistic programming, SOJO Teatro runs a training programme in performing arts focused on directing, acting and theatrical research. The space is also available for creative residencies, collaborations with emerging companies, and can be rented out for independent cultural projects, establishing itself as a hub for the exchange and revitalisation of Madrid's cultural life.
