This century-old shop started out as Pañerías Olleros in 1863 under the arches of Plaza Mayor, alongside Calle Toledo. After several moves, it finally settled at its current location in Plaza del Comandante las Morenas. Starting with fabric and customised tailoring and always focusing on textiles, the business has adapted its materials to meet the demands of each era.
This family business first sold cloth and suit patterns for men, all of which were made in Béjar and Catalonia. However, felt was introduced in the mid-20th century and years later, it has become what is now known as Fieltros Olleros, specialised in the manufacture of flags and felt in all colours and qualities.
At the start of the 21st century, Fieltros Olleros acquired the premises adjacent to its store as a warehouse. They used to house the century-old butcher’s shop, Arca de Noé, founded in 1870 by Juan Mingo, and the grocery store, Barco de la Abundancia, whose building is protected due to its beautiful red-wood facade.
