Dan Benveniste from Denmark set up his first workshop in Madrid in 1993, where he exclusively edited, printed and published original graphic works from contemporary printmaking. During his career spanning 40 years, he has worked closely with artists from both Spain and abroad.
Since 2012, the workshop and gallery has occupied its current premises in Carabanchel, where it has prestigious workshops associated with the gallery for graphic artists to work on all of their techniques and formats. For both edition printing and plate production, the facilities are professional and suitable for general printing, as well as large format printing.
As for the gallery, the pieces of work shown over recent years have been very varied, including all kinds of site-specific project. Amongst the artist, there are names such as Cristina Iglesias, Diango Hernández, Rita McBride, Glen Rubsamen, Alison Wilding, Ann-Sofi Sidén, Jacobo Castellano or Federico Guzmán.
Since 1999 and under The Print Subscribers Club label, Benveniste Contemporary has also published a biannual portfolio of work by a selected artist for a group of members.
