Built between 1903 and 1906 by the architect Juan Bautista Lázaro, this school-orphanage was founded by the Marquesses of Vallejo with the aim of aiding and educating orphan girls. Located in Chamberí and opened on 13 November 1906 with a capacity for 200 beds, it was left in the charge of the St Vincent de Paul Sisters of Charity.
As for the building, it is built over a quadrilateral ground plan structured around two patios separated by a central body where the chapel is located. It follows no defined architectural style as it blends the typical Neo-Múdejar bare brick stonework with Neo-Gothic elements, such as the double lancet arches on the first floor.
Docking station: General Martínez Campos (calle Fernández de la Hoz, 29)
