Specialising in traditional Asturian and Galician cuisine, this restaurant first opened in Chueca in 1985 and since then has been serving up one of the most famous fabadas in the city, either the traditional meat and bean stew or with clams or partridge, earning them several awards.
Located near Gran Vía, on Calle Farmacia, Casa Hortensia offers its customers ample possibilities with different rooms. There is a private dining area that can seat up to 50 people, another private area for 25 people, and two general rooms (“Covadonga” for 50 people and “Taurino” for 26 people.) You can also eat at the bar.
On the third floor of the building is its Sidrería or cider house, divided into two areas where you can continue to enjoy authentic Asturian and Galician cuisines in a more informal but lovely and cosy atmosphere.
