On 7 October 2026, Sala Wagon will be playing host to Mercury Rev as part of the band’s Celebrating 25 Years Of ‘All Is Dream’ tour. At these gigs, the band will be looking back on one of the most important albums of their career: All Is Dream (2001).
Having formed in 1989 in Buffalo (New York), Mercury Rev have established themselves as one of the most influential and distinctive experimental indie rock bands of recent decades. Their sound is characterised by a blend of psychedelic pop, experimental soundscapes and expansive orchestrations. Throughout their career, they have incorporated influences from jazz, folk, funk and progressive rock, constantly evolving without losing their artistic identity.
The tour focuses on All Is Dream (2001), regarded as one of the band’s greatest albums and a seminal work within contemporary psychedelic indie music. The album features some of their most iconic tracks, such as The Dark Is Rising and Tides Of The Moon, and cemented the band’s musical evolution that began following the success of Deserter’s Songs (1998), one of the best-known albums of their career.
Since their début with Yerself Is Steam (1991), later recognised by Pitchfork as one of the most important shoegaze albums of all time, Mercury Rev have forged a career characterised by musical exploration and artistic collaborations. Their most recent record is Born Horses (2024), as the band continues to demonstrate their creative vitality more than three decades after they formed.
Sandy Bell will be appearing as a guest artist at the event. The American singer-songwriter will open the concert as part of a duo with Jeff Lipstein, performing an intimate and evocative set influenced by artists such as Kate Bush and Joanna Newsom.
